New Yorkers have a litany of options for New Year’s Eve, but there’s one unforgettable event that you may not know about.  The Stand NYC, one of New York’s premier comedy clubs, is hosting a New Year’s Eve bash hosted by a radio legend and featuring a lineup superstar comics.

SiriusXM’s Ron Bennington, of Ron & Fez and Bennington fame, serves as MC as a cavalcade of top New York and L.A. comics take the stage.  Acts announced so far include Janeane Garofalo, Jim Florentine, Sherrod Small, Laurie Kilmartin, and Joe DeRosa.  And, as always with The Stand, you never know who else may pop in.  Headlining comics such as Bill Burr, Big Jay Oakerson, Artie Lange, Jim Gaffigan, Judah Friedlander, Todd Barry, Dan Soder, Ari Shaffir, and Tracy Morgan regularly perform at The Stand, often unannounced.

Admission includes a complimentary round of champagne and HOOCH subscribers can also score one of The Stand’s three featured drinks.  The “New Raj” is a refreshing mix of pepper and lemongrass-infused gin, agave,  cucumber, basil, and lime.  If vodka is what you’re feeling, you can go with the “High China,” which is made with ginger and cardamom-infused vodka and homemade (!) lychee juice.  If you’re sitting front row and you want to ease your fears of getting picked on by the comics, you can get the job done pretty quickly by choosing the bourbon-fueled “3rd Avenue.”
